Two appointments you don’t want to miss

Today I come with a practical piece of information for students, graduates or job-seekers in general.

On 28th February (that is, in two weeks), the AU Carrer Festival takes place. Their website explains what it is:

“The Career Festival (CF) is a day dedicated to helping students and young alumni tighten their belt, pull up their socks and straighten their tie before they take (or have already taken) that gigantic leap into the job market. Orchestrated by AU Career and AU Alumni, the day offers a medley of magical moments where speakers ranging from business icons to fledgeling alumni share their perspective on the “world out there” emphasizing how to get there and what to do once you’ve arrived.”

The week after, come Karrieredagene (Career days), which take place in a different city each day. This year goes like this:

5th March: Aalborg

6th March: Aarhus

7th March: Odense

8th March: Copenhagen

“Career Days is the only nationwide job fair, specifically targeting higher education students in Denmark. Career Days is owned and managed by the consultancy company Manova and it happens every year at the beginning of March in the four Danish university cities Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen. In Aalborg, the fair is held in close cooperation with Aalborg University

A visit to the career days will give students and graduates the unique possibility to network with company representatives. More than 100 companies and organizations, both Danish and international are going to participate in the Career Days 2013. They are participating to network with students and graduates, and talk about the career opportunities they can offer, such as student jobs, internships, graduate programs and diverse entry positions.”

More here:

Two great opportunities to learn about the job-market and do some very important networking. Unfortunately, I will be missing the AU Career Festival due to incompatibilities with my work, but maybe you’ll see me in the Karrieredag in Aalborg!
