Transition from Yellow Cab to Yellow Bus

I relocated from New York City to Copenhagen; I was very used to Yellow Cabs, now I am very fond of Yellow buses. In Copenhagen, you find Yellow “Movia” buses at every corner of the City. May be, this is one of the best mode of transportation after bicycles. Compare to New York City Copenhagen has an orderly bus transportation system, which is very reliable and timely. I leant that public buses are tracked by RFID and wireless sensor network. With the help of this high-tech sensor network, the transportation system is able to predict bus arrival time accurate down to minutes. In the bus stop you can see the digital dial displaying the time in minutes the bus is due at that station. The bus network covers most part of Copenhagen. It is also amazing that you can find seats in the bus, unlike in New York City that finding a comfortable place to stand in the bus used to be ‘the luck of the day’. In addition, baby strollers or wheel chairs are allowed in the bus and it has special space to securely park it. I find it very accommodative and convenient for challenged traveler. Copenhagen bus fares are little on the high side, but positive part is that, it is valid for some hours. If it is a short errands you running, you can use the same ticket for round trip. You can find some bargain if you buy monthly pass or ten trips clip cards. Now I see some electric buses, little smaller in size, but greater initiative to reduce carbon footprint.
