To a lot of Danes myself included easter holiday means visiting friends and family in other parts of Denmark. This easter I have visited Aarhus, and a lot of my old school mates both for Teko Center Danmark (where I studied design and purchase) and Aarhus School of architecture. I lived in the wonderful city of Aarhus for five years, and everytime I go there it is a little bit like coming home. Going to my favorite cafe Sigfreds Kaffebar http://www.sigfreds.dk/ located in a cozy book store, buying the special licorice and mint green tea that I can’t find anywhere else and of cause enyoing the company of really great friends. In this picture I am with Asterix, a very chic and cool city dog.
After Aarhus I went to my home town Vejle http://www.vejle.dk/, a medium sized Danish city, near the sea, with charming old houses and large forest. Its was naturally great to see my entire family. We were all together for the traditional danish easter lunch with herring, snaps (aquavit) and lamb.
Now I am visiting my boyfriends family in Herning before I go back to Copenhagen tomorrow, to really start up my bachelor project, prepare going to Milan and just enjoying everyday life as a student in Copenhagen – that’s not too bad:-)
